Chimney Safety Institute of America

The Chimney Safety Institute of America recommends checking the credentials of the chimney professionals that you are hiring online at www.CSIA.org.  The CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep credential is the only nationally-recognized credential for individual chimney service professionals.  To earn the CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep credential, an individual technician must demonstrate knowledge of industry codes and standards. To maintain the credential, CSIA Certified Chimney Sweeps must recredential every three years and agree to follow a Code of Ethics established by CSIA.
